A giveaway, did you hear that right?! I think this might qualify my tiny little blog as a real grown-up blog… how did that happen? Well, I’ll tell you how. There are a number of super creative and talented folks in my quilt guild, The East Bay Modern Quilters. One of these individuals happens to be Kim Andersson, the fine lady of i adore pattern, and creator of Good Hair Day fabric with Windham Fabrics.
I made a floor pouf for her from her exciting new fabric line, arriving in stores now. It was a joy to play with her colors. For me, there were a couple of unexpected pairings in her line, and they all got along together beautifully in the finished project. I loved stretching my color design muscles in a different direction. The pouf has two large panels that were pieced, the top and bottom panel.
My biggest problem was deciding which panel should be the top because I loved them both so much. Kim said that’s a good problem to have – and really, she was right! I used the Floor Pouf pattern from Anna Graham’s book Handmade Style.

I’m thinking it will be tomorrow when I get my hair cut. Otherwise probably Christmas was pretty good.
Your pouffe is really smart. My last Good Hair Day was in August 2014
Thank you Jo. 🙂
I was blessed to inherit my father’s hair. It’s coarse, straight and has great body. So whenever I take the time to blow dry it, or it’s a high humidity day, my hair looks great. Yesterday was one of those days. Your pouf is beautiful, and makes me want to order Anna’s book immediately. You make Kim’s fabric shine.
Thanks, Amy!
It’s definitely been awhile since my last good hair day! Thanks for sharing your ideas and projects.
my last good hair day was new year’s eve when gloria cut and styled it for me. thanks for the giveaway.
Last good hair day was before my last haircut hate my new hair cut..lol Good thing i love fabric……ty for sharing your idea…. happyness044312yahoo.com
I haven’t had one since Detcember when we took out family Christmas photos. Ha! I called my hairdresser this morning for an overdue cut this weekend. 🙂
Hurray!
Ugh. I have three little boys and we just had the dreaded (shhhhhh!) lice move through our house (darn the co-sleeping, they got me too!) so it seems like ages since I have had anything positive to think about hair. Maybe it was way back in November when I had a great hair day? All cleaned up, some very short haircuts all around, and bugs and eggs are all gone (thank goodness!!) and now I would love to throw my name into the hat to win this fun fabric! The bobby pins are especially cute!
I feel your pain… most families go through the lice thing at some point. I took my lice onto an airplane once, unknowingly. Yikes.
Great floor cushion!
Last good hair day? definitely not today!! I’ve just got back from my pilates class!
Great little group of fabrics!! My last good hair day was last Wednesday – cut 8 inches off and had all my dingy hair bleached out!! I look MARVELOUS!!! LOL
Oooh, nice!! You must feel like a new person :).
My last good hair day was in the 90s, before I started going gray. 🙂
For the record, I like your gray hair!
Last good hair day… before I had kids 🙂
Well, I think it’s high time for some momma pampering! Pick up your kids from school in style.
Mine was last week – this week home sick w/ my daughter ill too! Thanks!!
Hope you feel better soon… maybe a win of the charm pack will brighten your day. Good luck!
My last Good Hair Day? New Year’s Eve for sure!
Ha Ha! That’s a good question. I really can’t remember when. First, we had rain for like F-O-R-E-V-E-R, and now we have the wind. So I know it has been a while. Thanks for the giveaway.
Cute Pouf! I was born with bad hair. The last time it looked good was the day my stylist cut and styled it!
I just went today and my 3 year old granddaughter went with me. My hairdresser painted my granddaughter’s nails for her, which was very sweet. I love your pouffe and this fabric. Thanks for the chance to win a charm pack.
My last good hair day was on my birthday a few weeks ago. All the stars aligned and it looked good all night. 😉
Lol ! I could use a trim !
Do get well! Thanks for sharing!
Actually, today was a very good hair day for me! It wasn’t windy outside, and we are out of the humid season, so it was behavin’ like it should! Some days, it just won’t cooperate for anything, but today was good! I love this bundle of fabric!
I think my answer would be last Thursday because I went for a haircut, and my friend always fixes my hair just right. I’ve not been able to get it just right since!
I actually began having regular good-hair days when my daughter showed me how to take a section of my hair at the front, give it a twist, push it forward, and bobby-pin it so I have a “poof” instead of slicked back hair – I wear the rest in a French twist!
Ooh, can’t wait until my daughters can give me beauty tips, they’re almost there. 🙂
Today was a pretty good one! Love my hair style and I found some cool products that are keeping it healthy, even on the ends!
I have trouble finding the right products, and often feel like I’ve wasted my money when I try. So glad you found something that works for you!
Such a funny question! Amazingly, I had a good hair day on Christmas when photos were being taken. That never happens! There have been good hair days since, but that’s the one I remember.
Mine is usually when I pin my bangs back and use gel, go a little hard core rocker with it!
Maybe before Christmas… don’t really remember!
Just washed my hair and then saw this post! Maybe today will be a good hair day. 🙂
My last good hair day is always about a week before I notice that I need a haircut!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Actually I am having a good hair week (very unusual for me). Thanks!
Yesss!
Good hair day – do I really have to admit when? Perhaps Friday last week when I took extra care because I had a special event.
No, you don’t really have to admit when. It’s been far too long for me. xo
Too much grey to have a Good Hair Day (haha)
Never!
Last week — I’ve finally learned not to comb my baby-fine hair until it is dry, then it has some texture! Thanks for the chance.
Years!
Since I cut my hair short and decided to consider “funny hair day” to be a good day, every day is a good hair day. My hair looks different every day, and it’s all good. Some days it’s kind of punk, other days it seems kind of sleek, and occasionally it just stands straight up like something out of a cartoon. But I don’t care, because I’m the crazy aunt. So, my most recent good hair day was today.
🙂
Today is a good hair day for me. The best days are when I get a cut and style, though – which reminds me that I need to make my next appointment.
Nice work on the Floor Pouf, and thanks for the giveaway!
Thanks! Yes, the day of and day after a fresh cut are the best 🙂
For me ,as a hairdresser, every day is a good Hair Day!
I love this wonderful fabric series!
Hooray! Every day should be a good hair day!
Every day with hair is a good day. Loving your pouf. Next step, beehive!
Such a cute floor pouf! It’s been a while since my last haircut so I’d have to say my Good Hair Day was weeks ago!
Three days ago! Henna gloss too!
Not since my last hair cut in September, she always styles it for me, otherwise I have very frizzy hair!
Next Tuesday at 5:15 – I’m sooooo overdue for a colour! Thank you for the giveaway!
You are welcome, and good luck!
I have given up on good hair days and embraced the pony tail to hide my needs-to-be-washed mama hair. Your pouf is amazing! I think I need to get that book.
Thank you! Yes, the book is gorgeous with so many neat things to make. Mama pony is the go-to hairstyle for me, too.
I got mine done at the beginning of December, just prior to my works Xmas night out. Must be due another visit to the hairdresser !

🙂
I had a good hair day yesterday after I used an apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair. So doing that again!
Sounds interesting!
Hmmm… pretty much any day I leave the salon- I’m fairly useless with my hair other than pulling it back in a messy knot!
Yesterday was pretty good. I braided my hair wet and it let me with some gorgeous waves a few hours later. It had been a while since my last good hair day…
What a great idea, I used to do that too, long ago… maybe I’ll try that again. 🙂
Now that I’m retired, my hair doesn’t get ‘done’ as often. Christmas Eve, it looked pretty good.
It’s been a few days for me. I really need a haircut!
Sunday was my last good hair day! Had to look nice for church. Thank you for the chance to win!

I had shoulder length hair and looked one day in the mirror and said I need a new look, a change in style. So off to get it all chopped off, it felt sooooo good afterwards.
Awesome. I like extreme makeovers too, so fun!
My last good hair day was January 14, the day I finally was able to get it cut/colored. My hairdresser does such a great job. Would love to make her something fun with these fabrics!
Aww, what a sweet idea! Maybe a holder or holster for her scissors?
Kristen, it’s nice to meet you. Good hair days came w/age..mid 50’s, still with me:)
Hooray!!
love all the lovely colors.

me too! 🙂
Love it! My last good hair day had been awhile-but I actually took the time to straighten my hair last week and it wasn’t a total mess as usual! 🙂
I always get surprised by how much time it takes to have a really good hair day. I’d rather be sewing and quilting! So glad your effort paid off!
